Engadin Skimarathon

During the Engadin Ski Marathon, the vast white landscape becomes a living canvas. The skiers glide across it like fleeting brushstrokes, their colors dissolving into the brilliance of the snow. Using long exposures, I allow movement to replace sharpness, transforming athletes into gestures of light and rhythm.
What remains is not the individual, but the essence of motion — a quiet dialogue between speed and stillness. In the overwhelming whiteness, details disappear and only energy survives, suspended for a moment in time. These images are my way of painting with winter itself, capturing the poetry hidden within the race.
